By hand ! At no point do we use computers to query the web and come up with a shopping list.This makes us different from most other price comparison websites, which tend to concentrate on just finding the cheapest price for "Product X". We focus on comparing the various products and recommending which one to buy - that's the hard bit. What you see is the result of many hours of careful work by us.
How do you keep the pages up to date ?
By hand ! Products come and go, vendors change their prices. It takes a lot of time to keep on top if it. If you think we've missed a product, or the prices we show are out of date, then please e-mail us.
How do you decide which products to cover ?
If a product or its technology is interesting, then it is worth the effort of doing the research. Of course, there's no point choosing something which is well understood already, as nobody would be bothered to read about it. For example, we have a section on video recorders, but you'll only find an outline mention of video cassette recorders and the newer DVD recorders. You will find information about the relatively new DVR. The idea for the site was born when we found ourselves sifting and sorting the web when trying to buy something like a DVR - and that's how the video recorder section got added. If you are trying to buy a product and would like to see it covered here, then please e-mail us with your suggestion.
Which countries do you cover ?
Much of the site's content is useful to everyone, such as details on how products work and which features are useful. When we sift through which product is the best buy and sort out where is can be bought, that information is specific to the UK. If you live elsewhere, and would like us to cover your home market, please e-mail us. If enough people ask, we'll do it.

What are your costs ?
It takes a lot of time to do the research and keep the site up to date. As the site grows to cover more and more products, then ever more time is needed. We also need to pay for web hosting.
How do you finance the site ?
By being an affiliate of companies like Amazon, so we get paid a small amount each time someone buys a product by following one of our links. If you find our site useful, it would be nice if you would return the favour by buying through one of our links, rather than going direct to the vendor site. Also, we display text adverts served up by Google - if you click on one of these, we get a few pennies. We hope that you find the ads unobtrusive, and will be tempted to click on them sometimes.
